For those who don’t know, what Diwali is :

Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. These lamps are kept on during the night in order to ensure Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of happiness, feels welcome. Hindus believe that she roams the earth during the festival and enters those houses that are pure, clean, and bright—bringing with her good fortune.

Firecrackers are lit in order to drive away evil spirits and many families draw a colorful rangoli, a decorative pattern made in rice flour, at the entrance of their home.  Puja, the worship of deities, takes place at home and at temples with prayers and other offerings.

The dress, I selected for this Diwali party, is black with some golden embroidered flowers on its neck and bottom. Transparent sleeves adding some more definition to entire outfit. Keeping bottom of dress tight and simple.
